I received a message from my older sister telling me that tickets were reserved and that the family was scheduled to watch the film “Baahubali-The Conclusion” in Telugu language on the 29th of April 2017, at the Eros Theatre in New Delhi.
Like usual I was thrilled and told she would be arriving at the theatre immediately after work hours or that I will seek the opportunity to accompany them at the theatre. But it was decided I had to return home to join them and go with them to the theatre.
We were all thrilled. But my cousin, sitting in the wheel was thrilled to say that she had watched the movie in Hindi language on the 28th of April in 2017. She was ecstatic about it, as if it was a huge accomplishment for her. Furthermore, she wanted examine the film with the film in two languages. She assured me that she wouldn’t reveal the story to me.
The theater was packed and everyone wanted to see the film without missing one single moment. Every single person was on time and had possession of their set. However, her true son Bhallaladeva and her husband do not agree with her desires. The husband begins to incite Bhallaladeva’s actions against her. This is the pivotal moment in the film.
The Queen Mother gives instructions to Amarendra as well as Katappa to travel around of their kingdom to learn more about their subjects and to improve their well-being. Amarendra is introduced to Devasena and is drawn to her beauty and abilities. They are in love with one the other. Then, the news reaches Bhallaladeva and he devises plans to bring about the divergences among Shivagami as well as Amarendra.
He tells his mother he is in love with Devasena , and expresses his desire to get married. The proposal is made to Devasena via his side by Shivagami and is denied by Devasena. Amarendra assists and shields Kuntala’s kingdom Kuntala from the enemies known as Pindaris. Amarendra’s skills are exceptional. Amarendra can defeat Pindaris and protects the Kuntala kingdom. Devasena was interested to learn about the truth of the matter and demanded to discover his identity.
She discovers the fact that Amarendra is the king to come of Maahishmati and is determined to not be the prisoner. He promises to guard her modesty and marry her. They both quit to Maahishmati. Shivagami is shocked to discover the truth and is satisfied with the revelation. In the midst of this, she is resentful for not keeping her word to Bhallaladeva. This is the point that the turning point in the story can be seen in the film.
The tensions among Shivagami and Amarendra start at the moment they meet. In the next few days, Shivagami demands Amarendra to quit the kingdom along with his wife, who is pregnant.
Through the use of evil thoughts Bijjaladeva succeeds in causing more divisions between them. In one case Bijjaladeva claims that Amarendra attempts to murder Bhallaladeva to make him the King. Katappa demands Katappa to murder Amarendra in secret so that the kingdom can be saved from a conflict within the royal household as well as the people. In the end,
Amarendra is killed by Katappa and the queen is warned about the deceitful notions that are the product of Bijjaladeva along with Bhallaladeva and her error in making judgments about herself and her people. In the in the meantime, Devasena gives birth to a son and returns to the palace having learned of the passing of her husband. Shivagami declares the born baby is Mahendra Baahubali, the future king of Maahishmati.
Bhallaladeva is shocked and commands his troops to capture the queen, murder her baby and detain Devasena. The Queen flees the palace and soon dies. The infant is rescued by the ordinary people and is named Shivudu. He soon learns about his mother, Devasena, who is imprisoned from Katappa and is in love with Avantika. He fights to stop injustice and prevails at the final.
